Holiday Club
The Fireflies Holiday Club and Forest School at Dimples Day Nursery runs throughout the year during all main school holidays (except Christmas) and is available to school children aged 4-11 years from 7.30am - 6.30pm. The current fee is £50.00 per day regardless of how many hours you send your child for - you must drop off and collect your children within our opening hours. All food is included (Breakfast, Snack, Lunch and a light Tea). There is no option to bring a packed lunch.
We are a forest school and the holiday club sessions are run from our Forest School field and cabin. The children are outside for the majority of the day and therefore suitable clothing is required. It is imperative that children are sent to holiday club with a full kit bag including a full change of clothes, a winter hat, gloves, scarf, coat waterproof coat and trousers, a sunhat, sun cream, swimming costume and towel, trainers and sandals but no crocs or flip flops. We do not have a TV and no games consoles or smart watches are allowed. The focus is on active play and team activities. All nursery facilities are available to the holiday club children and age appropriate activities are provided to ensure that they are stimulated, active and happy. Days are spent between the Forest School cabin and Forest School field, the nursery gardens, fields and local parks and woodlands. Although a timetable of activities is devised all children have the choice to do other activities.
You will be required to check your child's paperwork at the start of every holiday club to confirm any changes to your child's enrolment forms e.g. change of address, contact details, food allergies etc. This form also includes details of food allergies and preferences.
Bookings for Holiday Club open one term at a time, e.g. In February half term it opens for Easter. In May it opens for Summer etc. We do not open our Holiday Club for the Christmas break.
